Tax Assessment Administration

The Assessor is responsible to the citizens of the municipality for the fair assessment of all property in order that the tax burden may be distributed equitably.

Every year on or before February 1st, the assessor is required under N.J.S.A. 54.4-3.2, to notify every property owner of their assessment. A property owner who disagrees with the assessed value may appeal to the Camden County Board of Taxation on or before April 1st.

   • Declared 100% totally and permanently disabled and meet the above      requirements may qualify you for a $250 deduction.
   • Veteran of a specific time period of the armed services and were on active duty      during time off war may qualify you for up to $250 deduction.
   • Surviving spouses of a qualified applicant receiving a deduction (with copy of      death certificate), continue to receive the same tax relief.

To receive any of the above deductions, you must file an application with the Tax Assessor's Office.
